VENTURE SPRIND - Ignite a new "Gruenderzeit" On April 24, more than 60 startup teams - all handpicked and supported by SPRIND - Bundesagentur für Sprunginnovationen - pitched in front of 200+ investors at Alte Münze, Berlin. We call this event "VENTURE SPRIND", and its a free invite-only gathering for investors and startups. SPRIND´s support is comprehensive. We finance, help put together teams and link them with the right networks from science, business and politics. We are technology agnostic and active in all cutting-edge fields such as engineering, computing, biotech, life science and many more. That’s a wrap! Last week marked an important moment of my academic life: I am honoured and deeply humbled to share that I have been awarded the ETH Silver Medal for outstanding thesis at Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT), ETH Zurich! The MSc thesis was carried out across Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard Medical School (Brigham and Women’s Hospital) and ETH Zürich, under the supervision of the great Giovanni Traverso, Vivian Feig and Mark Tibbitt. The last few years were some of the most challenging and fulfilling of my life. It has been a tough journey, and all this would have not been possible if not for the amazing group of friends, colleagues and mentors I had the luck to meet along the process, to whom I am incredibly grateful. I am also excited to share that I have finally started working at Unbound Potential, with an amazing team of disrUPtors, aiming to make a difference in the development of truly sustainable batteries that enable the transition to renewables!
